Blood tests
If you are in Auckland, your form will be sent electronically to Labtests.
You can go to any rooms to have your test done.

Please note - you will not be routinely contacted if your results are within the normal range.
However, once the results have been reviewed by your GP, they will be available to view and print on our patient portal, ManageMyHealth. Please click here for the portal.
If you are outside of Auckland, the form will be sent to either yourself or the appropriate diagnostic facility.
Radiology
X Rays , Ultrasounds and CT scans.
Public Hospital – these results can take up to four weeks. Once your GP has been sent the report, they or their nurse will be in touch with you. The exception to this is when you have one of the above in an emergency situation in which case your result will be available sooner.
Private - these results are usually received within 48 hours. Your GP or their nurse will be in touch.

Cervical smears
Results can take up to 10 working days to be processed by the laboratory. Your GP or their nurse will be in touch once your report has been received. If you have not heard from us after 3 weeks, please phone the nurses.
Histology
If you have had minor surgery or a punch biopsy, the sample will be sent to the laboratory for testing. This can take up to 10 working days. Your GP or their nurse will be in touch once your report has been received. If you have not heard from us after 3 weeks, please phone the nurses.
